Why Your ElephTV Activation Code May Not Arrive and How to Fix It

Ninety-five percent of 'code not received' cases are one of three things — wrong email address, WhatsApp blocked, or the payment hasn't cleared yet. Here's the exact order to check.
First — don't panic. Every ElephTV code is stored against your order the second payment clears, and you can always retrieve it from your account page. It's almost never lost. The question is just where the delivery message went. Work through this list in order.
1. Check your account page (30 seconds)
Go to your account page and open the order. The activation code is displayed there in a big reveal box, with a copy button. This is the fastest fix — no waiting on WhatsApp or email.
2. Check the email address you entered
On the checkout page, the #1 cause of 'no email' is a typo — gmial.com, hotmial.com, or a missing letter. Our system suggests corrections but a determined typo can slip through. If in doubt, check the email on the payment receipt from Paystack — that's the address the code went to.
3. Check Spam and Promotions
Gmail sometimes files the delivery email under Promotions rather than Primary. Outlook sometimes files it under Junk. Search your inbox for 'ElephTV' — including archived and spam folders.
4. Check WhatsApp with the number you entered
The WhatsApp code goes to the exact number typed at checkout. If you typed a wrong number, or you have a second WhatsApp on your work phone, check both. Also check WhatsApp's Archived Chats — the message can archive automatically if you're in a group above it.
5. Payment might still be pending
Ready to watch? Try the app free for 4 days, then buy your activation code on elephtv.store from R120/month — it is auto-dispatched to WhatsApp or email after payment.
Card payments on Paystack usually clear in 15 seconds. Occasionally a bank's 3-D Secure check takes a minute or two. If you got a 'processing' screen and no receipt yet, wait five minutes and refresh your account page.
6. Use the Resend button
On your account page, every paid order has a 'Resend code' button that fires a fresh WhatsApp or email. You can use it as many times as you need. Fixes typos and lost messages in one tap.
7. Message us on WhatsApp
If none of the above works, WhatsApp us from your order page — the message pre-fills your order number so we can check the delivery log in seconds. In the rare case a WhatsApp send failed (network glitch, blocked number), we'll re-send it manually as soon as we see it.
What we'll never do
- Ask you for your password or card details — we never need them
- Take payment on a WhatsApp thread — always via the website Paystack link
- Delete or invalidate your code because of a delivery issue
Frequently asked questions
- How quickly should the code arrive?
- Usually within 2 minutes after successful payment; occasionally longer if payment verification is delayed. Check your account page first — the code is stored there as soon as it is issued.
- Can I resend the code myself?
- Yes. Sign in, open the order, tap 'Resend code'. It re-sends to whichever contact details are on the order.
- What if I typed the wrong email or number?
- Sign in and update the delivery details on the order, or message us on WhatsApp and we'll correct it and resend.
