You've got a 16-digit ElephTV code and you're staring at the app trying to figure out where to type it. This is the two-minute version.
Every ElephTV code is a 16-digit alphanumeric string — for example, 7166-9757-1400-3524. You get it on WhatsApp or email, usually within 2 minutes of successful payment. Here's exactly where and how to redeem it.
Where to enter the code
Open the ElephTV app (the one from your delivery email — see below if you're not sure which). On first launch it asks for an activation code, subscription code, or Xtream Codes login, depending on the player. Paste the full 16 digits including dashes if it accepts them, or dashes-removed if it doesn't. Some players ask separately for a server URL — that's also in your delivery email.
Voice input is your friend
On a TV remote, typing 16 characters is painful. Hold the Google Assistant / voice button and read the code out loud, character by character ('seven, one, six, six…'). Nine times out of ten it types faster than the keyboard.
After redeeming
The app takes 20–60 seconds to download the channel list and EPG the first time. Wait for the loading bar. Once the channel list appears, you're subscribed for the period you paid for — no monthly re-entry needed until renewal.
'Invalid code' — what to do
Ready to watch? Try the app free for 4 days, then buy your activation code on elephtv.store from R120/month — it is auto-dispatched to WhatsApp or email after payment.
- Double-check for typos — 0 vs O, 1 vs I, 5 vs S are the usual suspects
- Make sure there are no spaces before or after the code
- Try the code with dashes and without — some players are fussy
- Confirm you're opening the correct app (some players share icons — see below)
'Expired code' — what to do
This means the subscription period has ended. Sign into your account page and renew — the code stays valid for the new period without changing anything on the TV.
Am I in the right app?
The delivery email names the exact player app for your code (there are a few, chosen for stability on different devices). If you're not sure, WhatsApp us — one glance at your code and we'll tell you which app to open and where to type.
Multi-month codes
If you bought a multi-month package (3, 6, 12 months), the code redeems the first month automatically. Each following month unlocks on the anniversary — no re-entry, no new code. You'll see the remaining time in the app's account menu.
